WHAT IS REV SHARE
Rev share, short for revenue share, is a type of compensation model used in various industries, including iGaming. In this model, a business pays its partners or affiliates a percentage of the revenue generated from their referred players or customers.
For example, in iGaming, an online casino may partner with an affiliate who refers players to the casino through a unique tracking link. The affiliate would then earn a percentage of the revenue generated from the players they referred, such as a percentage of the players' losses or net revenue.
This percentage is agreed upon in advance between the casino and the affiliate, and the revenue share can vary depending on factors such as the type of game, the volume of traffic, and the size of the player's deposit.
Revenue share is often seen as a win-win situation for both parties, as it incentivizes affiliates to promote the casino and its games in order to generate more revenue, while also giving the casino the opportunity to increase its customer base and revenue without having to spend as much on traditional advertising methods.
