Sinitic shortlisted as finalist at Pitch ICE Africa

The finalists for the inaugural Pitch ICE Africa have been announced — and Sinitic is among four innovators selected to appear before a panel of Online Gaming industry judges on October 2, 2019. In what promises to be an informative and fast-paced session, Sinitic CEO Curtis Matlock will have seven minutes to pitch a panel of investors on Sinitic’s groundbreaking application of natural language processing (NLP) research to the multilingual player experience. “The current player support standard in Africa is English-only, with very little automation applied to acquisition, retention, and reactivation,” said Sinitic CEO Curtis Matlock. “The first operators to localize their player experience across Africa’s diverse languages are going to have a massive service advantage. But the problem is, that comes with an equally massive cost to the gaming contact centers.” In Sinitic’s ROI analysis with Asian and European gaming operators, up to half a company’s monthly operating budget can be lost to player experience, in part, due to the high-cost and turnover of multilingual agents in regulated jurisdictions. Beyond this, there is considerable waste occurring in the manual processes for signup completion, payment verification, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) handling.
