The All-in Diversity Project (AIDP) is pleased to announce the latest additions to its global Advisory Board: Birgitte Sand, CEO of Birgitte Sand & Associates ApS and Esu Ma’at, Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Strategist. The All-In Diversity Project is an industry-driven not-for-profit initiative to benchmark diversity, equality and inclusion. Both new advisory board members will contribute to taking AIDP into 2021 as the world recovers from COVID-19.
Birgitte brings with her over 25 years of experience in leadership across a number of sectors, including over 10 years as Director of the Danish Gambling Authority where she oversaw the introduction of what many consider to be one of the best regulatory frameworks in the world, awarded “European Regulator of the Year” by the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL).Her tenure as Vice President and President of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) saw her actively court Africa, Asia and the Americans, in a bid to make IAGR as diverse and inclusive as possible.
“This project has so much to offer all of us! I am honored to be part of this distinct advisory board – and ready to take part in the many challenges that come with a strong vision for diversity, equality and inclusion. So much has happened within the gambling industry just within the last decade and on a wider scale. The world has become more transparent disclosing the differences in work places and showing us the need for change. I am truly excited about an international standard – and all the improvements and added value of life that it implies,” said Biirgitte Sand.
Esu Ma’at is AIDP’s first appointment reflective of educational and institutional and organizational change management. Esu is a trans-disciplinary thought leader who has a distinguished track record of success driving a 21st century vision for diversity, equity and inclusion – a construct conceived and cultivated during his time with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) where he is widely respected for an impressive resume of contributions and accomplishments. He brings a new and clear perspective to the All-in table as we drive progress.
“The All-In Diversity Project is an extremely important initiative,” says Esu Ma’at. I look forward to collaborating with this impressive team of industry experts to share the tools and resources needed to advance workplace diversity, equity and inclusion worldwide.”
“The appointment of both Birgitte and Esu is a critical t step in the All-in Diversity Project journey as we start to move out of gaming and take a more sector agnostic position with the forthcoming launch of the first ever formal international standard for workplace diversity, equality and inclusion, in partnership with the BSI. Birgitte and Esu bring with them a different set of perspectives, experiences and insights which will complement and enhance those of the existing Board allowing us to explore and address every challenge from policy right through to practice across every type of organization right across the world. These are incredibly exciting times for us. ,” says Co-founder Christina Thakor-Rankin.
